IEMSA Events 2023 |
Please join us for our annual Indiana EMS Association's "Day at the Capitol." We will be at the State House at 10:00 am to set up on Thursday, February 16th. Anyone interested in participating is invited to meet us on the 4th floor south (it is best to enter the building through the east doors) from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. We would like to have as many uniformed EMS industry representatives as possible. Those who choose not to attend in uniform would be best to dress in formal business attire. If we want to successfully advocate for our industry we need to be both seen and heard. Those who are able to bring an ambulance or chase vehicle are invited to contact Valerie Bruggeman at vbruggeman@superiorambulance.com for parking instructions. Member Ticket: $40 / Non-Member Ticket: $50 Learn more and submit award nominations here by Feb. 15, 2023. | INDIANA EMS COMMISION & IEMSA GENERAL MEETINGS– Most of the meetings this year will be on Fridays. The dates are March 10, May 12, July 14. The Commission begins at 10 EST and the IEMSA meetings start at Noon. All of these will be held at MADE, 1610 Reeves Rd. Plainfield, IN 46168. The September meeting will be held in conjunction with the Indiana Emergency Response Conference on September 13 at 3 p.m., with IEMSA at Noon at Indianapolis Marriott East. The final meeting of the year will be held in conjunction with the IEMSA Conference on November 29 at 1 p.m. with the IEMSA meeting being held at 11 a.m. at the French Lick Resort. April 24-29 - FDIC AND JEMS CONTFERENCE - Once again, Indianapolis will be the host of this conference and again JEMS will be holding their conference in cooperation with FDIC. This will be at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. www.fdic.com May 13 - RUNNING WITH SHEARS - This year the Indiana EMS Foundation, Inc. will be hosting their annual 5k run on May 13 on the Indiana State Museum Lawn. This is great event and IEMSA is proud to play a small part in it. IEMSA and IEMSF share the same goal in trying to raise funds for an EMS Memorial to be placed along side the Fire and Police Memorials on the State House Grounds. For information, contact: iemsm5k@gmail.com May 20 - GOLDEN SIREN AWARDS - The Golden Siren Banquet is scheduled for May 20 from 5-9 PM at the PRIMO Banquet Center 2615 National Ave. Indianapolis. This dinner is held to honor the inductees of Indiana’s EMS Hall of Fame, which is named the Golden Siren Award. Other awards and recognitions are also presented. There is a link to buy tickets on this page. Nominate individuals here by Feb. 15. May 21-27 - EMS WEEK- The Golden Siren Banquet is the perfect kick-off to EMS Week 2023. June 13-17 - INDIANA VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS ASSOC. - The IVFA Convention will be held at the Courtyard Muncie at Horizon Convention Center. IEMSA will have a booth at their show and are happy to support them. www.ivfa.org June 26-28 - AMERICAN AMBULANCE ASSOC. – The AAA has chosen Las Vegas for their Annual Conference on June 26 to 28. IEMSA relies heavily on the AAA to keep us in formed of the legislative issues that occur on the national level. Our own Kim Godden (Superior) has taken leadership roles within AAA which helps us tremendously. www.ambulance.org July 15 - SUPPORTING HEROES - If you are not familiar with this organization you need to be. Their mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of Public Safety Heroes who give their lives in the line of duty by caring for the loved ones they leave behind. This group covers Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri. Their big event is their Heroes Tribute Gala which is being held July 15, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in Owensboro, KY. IEMSA will have a table at this event. www.supportingheroes.org Sept. 13-16 - INDIANA EMERGENCY RESPONSE CONFERENCE- Hosted by the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association, this event will be at the Indianapolis Marriott East. IEMSA will also have a booth at this conference. www.indianaerc.com Sept. 18-22 - EMS WORLD EXPO - This will be in New Orleans. IEMSA has strong ties to NAEMT which is a partner with EMS World and we continue to offer joint membership with them. It has also been announced that EMS World is tentatively scheduled for Indianapolis in 2025. www.Emsworldexpo.com Nov. 29-30 and Dec. 1- INDIANA EMS ASSOCIATION AND INDIANA EMERGENCY RESPONSE CONFERENCE- French Lick Resort will once again be the host site for the 2023 Expo.
