| INDIANA EMS COMMISION & IEMSA GENERAL MEETINGS– Most of the meetings this year will be on Fridays. The Commission begins at 10 EST and the IEMSA meetings start at Noon. All of these will be held at MADE, 1610 Reeves Rd. Plainfield, IN 46168. The September meeting will be held in conjunction with the Indiana Emergency Response Conference on September 13 at 3 p.m., with IEMSA at Noon at Indianapolis Marriott East. The final meeting of the year will be held in conjunction with the IEMSA Conference on November 29 at 1 p.m. with the IEMSA meeting being held at 11 a.m. at the French Lick Resort. The 2024 dates for Indiana EMS Commission Meetings are as follows: January 19, 2024 The September & November 2024 meetings are to be announced. April 14 - 19, 2024 - FDIC AND JEMS CONTFERENCE - Once again, Indianapolis will be the host of this conference and again JEMS will be holding their conference in cooperation with FDIC. This will be at the Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium. www.fdic.com May, 2024 - RUNNING WITH SHEARS - This year the Indiana EMS Foundation, Inc. will be hosting their annual 5k run in May, 2024 on the Indiana State Museum Lawn. This is great event and IEMSA is proud to play a small part in it. IEMSA and IEMSF share the same goal in trying to raise funds for an EMS Memorial to be placed along side the Fire and Police Memorials on the State House Grounds. For information, contact: iemsm5k@gmail.com May 18, 2024 - GOLDEN SIREN AWARDS - The Golden Siren Banquet is scheduled in the month of May, 2024 from 5-9 PM at the PRIMO Banquet Center 2615 National Ave. Indianapolis. This dinner is held to honor the inductees of Indiana’s EMS Hall of Fame, which is named the Golden Siren Award. Other awards and recognitions are also presented. June, 2024 - INDIANA VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS ASSOC. - The IVFA Convention will be held in Indianapolis, IN. IEMSA will have a booth at their show and are happy to support them. www.ivfa.org June 26-28 - AMERICAN AMBULANCE ASSOC. – The AAA has chosen Las Vegas for their Annual Conference on June 26 to 28. IEMSA relies heavily on the AAA to keep us in formed of the legislative issues that occur on the national level. Our own Kim Godden (Superior) has taken leadership roles within AAA which helps us tremendously. www.ambulance.org July 15 - SUPPORTING HEROES - If you are not familiar with this organization you need to be. Their mission is to honor the service and sacrifice of Public Safety Heroes who give their lives in the line of duty by caring for the loved ones they leave behind. This group covers Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri. Their big event is their Heroes Tribute Gala which is being held July 15, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in Owensboro, KY. IEMSA will have a table at this event. www.supportingheroes.org Sept. 13-16 - INDIANA EMERGENCY RESPONSE CONFERENCE- Hosted by the Indiana Fire Chiefs Association, this event will be at the Indianapolis Marriott East.
